Sandlapper Publishing is a regional, independent publisher and distributor of books primarily about South Carolina.  Operating since 1983, we specialize in nonfiction in the areas of history, travel, cooking, recreation, photography, natural history and folklore.  Subjects of special interest are Gullah, slavery, plantations, lighthouses, the American Revolution, the Civil War, and the Palmetto state's natural history.  Our books for young readers include both fiction and nonfiction.
